Book Talk: What I’m reading…8/24/18
Traci Kenworth
Currently, I’m reading: Laini Taylor’s Days of Blood & Starlight (I’m liking this), Leigh Bardugo’s Shadow and Bone (so terrific), Nora Robert’s Shadowspell (such a great story), Ursula Le Guin’s The Farthest Shore (my first story by her), Stephen King’s The Outsider (Gritty), Grace Draven’s Phoenix Unbound (not what I’m used to. Stark. Violent), Kristine Kathryn Rusch’s Closing the Deal on Your Terms (very informative) and The Freelancer’s Survival Guide (how to build a career), Sorcha Black’s How to Create Superbad Villians 13 Steps to Evil (useful), Melanie Cellier’s Princess Fugitive (a different king of fairytale), J.K. Rowling’s Harry Potter (still as fascinating as ever), Tomi Adeyemi’s Children of Blood and Bone (riveting), Rayne Hall’s and Susan McCarthy’s Writing Love Scenes (another useful book), C.S. Boyack’s The Yak Guy Project (I’m loving the journey), Harmony Kent’s Jewel in the Mud (positive), and Grace Bonney’s In the Company of Women (a nice insight). Oh, and yes, the study books! Of which HP is one.
Traci – you must have a clone to be reading all of these (and you have great taste)!

I try and read a chapter of each at a time and I rotate them around which is why some I’ve been reading for a while are still being worked on. I sometimes have to shuffle NetGalley books to the review first. Then there’s the book I read while I wait for my kids and the one I read at bedtime that I often get through first. Oh, and library books have to take priority too, lol.
