Writerly Things…4/1/18

Traci Kenworth

So, the kids went to the mall this morning. Except it didn’t open till eleven and some of the stores were open, some weren’t with Easter. Starbucks was open though. They did bring me back a little basket with eggs filled with candies so smiles about that. Oh, and a nice card. After I took my daughter to work, I headed to my sister’s for dinner. It was nice to visit with my mom, aunt, little sister, older sister (her house along with my bil), her daughter and her husband and their kids, her son and his kids (his wife had to work), my brothers and my brother’s wife. Others were away from this get-together this time. We had the traditional ham, mashed potatoes and gravy, spaghetti-lasagna, potato salad, green bean casserole, my mom’s chicken and dumplings, finger foods, and cupcakes. Oh, and these beets my sister got the recipe for from her other daughter’s mother-in-law that called for cinnamon in them. Awesome!

I’m sitting back, enjoying a cup of coffee now. Yes, I know, it’s late in the afternoon but since my daughter’s hours have been cut down to two days this week, I can sleep in tomorrow. I was able to get some research in this morning for HA. I’m learning lots of fascinating things about Chinese history and the history of different religions. I did send off some questions to Paul who’s helping me with research. It’s been nice to bounce questions off him as he’s written books about the things I need to know.

I got some writing done this week but not as much as I would’ve liked. Things just kept getting in the way. This week, I’ll have more down time though, so that’ll help. I do need to get some reading in though as I have to get Sleeping Beauties back to the library by the weekend. How did your week’s go? How about Easter? Have a great week, take care, and God bless!
